D073-01 Propellant

This product is referred to as an OEM propellant. It has no reloading canister equivalent. Ballistic results show this propellant to be highly efficient; generally low in pressure, yet yielding significant velocity, given the charge weight.

From an American perspective, it has not yet been fully characterized in the breadth of its ballistic capability. But by its test load results, it appears that this propellant will be appropriate in virtually the full range of .223 Remington cartridge and bullet combinations, 308 Winchester and similar cartridges. For this reason it was chosen by Shooters World LLC to provide broad utility for our customers.

Preliminary ballistic test load results indicate D073-01 may provide a range of capability across the light to moderate .223 Remington and .308 Winchester burn rate region. As an example, a 55 grain Full Metal Jacket bullet, in .223 Remington:

A spherical propellant, it meters through charge plates consistently and will work with a high-speed loader with very good flow. It does contain a level of flash suppressant.

As with any propellant and load combination, a minor change to any of the components of the test load CAN result in significant shift in ballistic performance. This shift can cause unintended high pressures, and result in injury or death. Therefore, Shooters World LLC, nor the manufacturer of this propellant take no responsibility for the intentional or unintentional misuse of this product. The charge weight noted above is NOT recommended, either as a starting nor completed load. It is shown merely as an indication of potential performance in one test load, shot by CIP standards.
